Star Indian test cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin forays into the chess world by being co-owner of American Gambits. The team will participate in the 2nd edition of Tech Mahindra Grand Chess League, a joint venture between Tech Mahindra and the International Chess Federation.

American Gambits have prominent business leaders’ names associated with them like Venkat K Narayan from Prestige Group, Prachura PP, and Ravinchanran Ashvin. American Gambits will replace Chingari Gulf Titans for the second edition of Global Chess League.

Ravichandran Ashwin received a warm welcome from Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand followed by Anand Mahindra chairperson of Mahindra Group. GM Vishy Anand also quoted superstar Rajnikanth’s motivational song ‘Vetri Kodi Kattu’ from the movie ‘Padaiyappa’.
