Ziffi Chess Game Rules
The rules of chess online on Ziffi are similar to the conventional chess game, where players take alternate turns to move one piece at a time, starting with White. Here are the basic game rules to move the pieces:
King (Raja): The King is one of the most important Chess pieces, but it is also one of the weakest. The King can only move one square in any direction – up, down, left, right, and diagonally. When any piece attacks the King, then this is known as 'Check'.
Queen (Rani) - 9 points: The Queen is one of the powerful chess pieces, as she can move any number of squares in any direction - vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. However, if a Chess piece from her side is in the way, then the Queen cannot move past it.
Rook (Hathi) - 5 points: The Rooks can move in a straight line, both vertically and horizontally. They can be extremely powerful when used together.
Bishop (Oont) - 3 points: In a Chess game, the Bishops can move as many unoccupied squares as they want, but only diagonally. Each bishop starts on a certain color (white or black). They remain and travel in this color throughout the game.
Knight (Ghoda) - 3 points: The Knight moves in an 'L' shape with two steps forward, and one step left or right. This chess piece is unique because it is the only one that can 'jump' over other chess pieces to move past them.
Pawns (Pyada) - 1 point: Pawns are usually the first pieces used to start a game of Chess. They can move only one square forward at a time but must capture an enemy piece diagonally. Pawns cannot move backward and cannot capture or move past pieces directly in front of them.
